Starting to get a little frustrated.
These fittings are so soft. Im putting everything together in my girlfriends back room. She has a very limited selection of tools so I need to bring any tools I need from my house.
Ive been using an open end adjustable wrench for most of the fittings. But I'll strip this 1/2 - 3/8 fitting if I try any harder.
I planned on getting it sealed before work too see if I lost any pressure by the time I got home.
What ever. The bob the builder tool set just isn't cutting it.
You using loctite 565 on all the fittings?
Well I know most of the guys over on the stance and air ride forums say use loctite 565 for any NPT fittings.. but others on there say Teflon tape is fine. .. I guess it's kinda like our IC's lol some say rtv only others say gaskets... ya know... I will be using the loctite 565 when I do my bags, but you might be fine with just tape.. If it doesn't leak just leave it.. but if it does I would switch
I'd personally just do the loctite. Might as well just do it once n not have to worry. Just like my zzp fuel logs, red loctite fixed my fuel leak after trying others.
Those damn zzp logs passed me off.. 400 bucks and they leaked! My little C - clip that holds the braided fuel line in popped off which made the hose come out too.. I also loctite the **** out of the area lol
The thread tape worked fine. I just wasn't using enough. Here's a video.
