I know i've been quiet for awhile, but that's because big changes were happening. I came to conclusion the Grand Prix needed to go, as it was almost hitting 200,000 miles. I sold the car and everything with it for $3,500.
Now that I have a big boy job, I decided to pull the trigger on my "affordable dream car." I purchased a 2008 G8 GT with only 68,000 miles on the clock. Other than the 18" VMR wheels, the car is 100% stock. It was a show car for the last 5 years so it is in immaculate shape. Both the interior and exterior are a 10/10. If the car has one rock chip, the previous owner replaced the whole fender or bumper with GM original equipment and spent big money on professional paint work. Over $8,000 in receipts for body work making it in better shape than factory floor.
It also has every single option from the factory, and I bought it for a killer deal.
The car does also have a GXP rear bumper, which is a big bonus. I'll be getting the windows tinted first, purchased a blend mount for cobra radar detector, will get an oil change with Mobil 1 full synthetic (holds 8.8 quarts... damn), will get some weather tech mats to keep the inside clean. I'd also like to purchase a front splitter shortly too.
When it comes to performance I'll be getting intake, long tubes, cat back, and tune. Still debating on what route to go. So far I'm leaning towards a rotofab intake, kooks long tube, solo cat back, and a custom tune. But this won't happen for awhile yet.
