Lol, First time I had to deal with that UEFI BS. It's different, that's for sure. I'm not a gamer so I don't need extreme performance or anything.

Fuses came in for the dual battery setup, and I went ahead and installed the fuse up front. I replaced a POS bus fuse with an AGN, then i have 2 more AGNs for the trunk where the main power wires connect to the trunk battery (right after an isolated solenoid), and one for the wire that goes from the trunk battery to the stereo amps and such. These fuse holders were pretty cheap, $6 including the fuse shipped. I might order a few more for the truck:

    Here's some install pictures:

And all done. I had the DBlink before hand.

Yep, you want a fuse within 18 inches of the battery. I'd probably put one up front on the alternator's charge wire too just in case you had a side\rear impact that pinched the wire while the car was running.

Started working on solenoid and fuse placement. I think i have it pretty much figured out, Let me show you the pics then explain:

This is the general idea of where these will be, and I'll be headed to the hardware store after breakfast to buy some 1\2 inch copper pipe. I'll hammer it flat, bend it how I need, and drill holes to make myself a little rail between the fuse and the solenoid. Once I have it completely made, I'm going to tape off the connection points and "paint" it with some liquid electrical tape I have to help seal it. After that, I'll cut the fuse holder for a 90* angle. What isn't in the picture is the second fuse that will be right next to that, which will give power to the stereo. That also needs to be cut for a 90*, but in the direction. I just finished that one up right now:

    More to come, like usual!

This is on the back of a standard plastic battery box. The plan is to run a 3\4" tube out of the trunk for venting. This whole setup is kind of a proof of concept type thing. Long term plans are to build yet another sub box that is larger (wider). The added area for the sub will extended off to the driver side, and I'll build in something on the passenger side to hold the battery along with this wiring. It'll also end up being an AGM battery because of the obvious vibrations. These fuses and solenoid will be facing the back seat, and the box will be strapped down (it came with a battery box strap kit thing) or screwed down somewhere in the trunk.

I went ahead and cut the other fuse cover so they are good to go, then I marked the other holes for drilling, but I stopped there since I need some small screws and nuts to mount to the plastic.

Cool, I shoulda known better than to think you'd let that fire hydrant lookin solenoid show. All that stuff does need to be easy access but held in place securely. I did make out that thats a battery box.

I want to see the bit with the copper tubing, never done that but it sounds good.

One of those things that work in my head and it'll literally be maybe 4 inches long. We'll see how it goes lol. After I get this stuff mounted it'll be a somewhat easy install. Pull the pack seats (not needed but will make it easier), mount the box, cut the existing power wires and solder some ends on them make a few power wires for the stereo, run a wire or 2 up to the dash, then put it all back together.

I'll get the package in the mail Monday. Remember to use a block over the tube to flatten it so that it doesn't look like its beat with a hammer.

Lol, I thought of that as I was looking for the hammer. Then I realized I had a press. I slapped the cooper pipe in between the 2 bricks that came with the press, and pressed away. I put my biggest C clamps on the outsides once the press was down and cranked those down too just to make sure the edges got pressed down enough too. I think it came out GREAT!

    Now to cut and drill.

Pretty much, yea. Ironically we're eating lunch now, then gonna start mounting stuff. I'm hoping to make the install as sinple as possible when the time comes, doing as much prep work as possible. I'm still getting over the fact that this solenoid draws damn near 3 amps on it's own!

Full and happy, Drilled out all the mounting holes and got everything mounted up, came out pretty good, and it all works in my head. Next up is the copper rail, then cutting the 1\0 AWG wire to length and soldering an end on it. If I have enough 1\0 AWG left ( I doubt I will) I'll run 1\0 AWG to both fuses. We will see though!

And just to help tie it together:
