Ill be honest I get lost in all this sh*t but isn't there a module they sell that basically will allow you to do all this? Or is that out of the question because of the type of alarm/rs you went with?

Way cool. And way over my head. I'm just waiting for a write up for rain sensor auto close sunroof/windows. How difficult will that one feature be?
Red, yes I think they do sell modules that will do this but you'd need 2 or 3 of them since they only control 2 windows each (I'm counting the sunroof as a window). This was basically free, and it was stuff I figured out in my head as I went along.
Bandook: that'd be a combination of features really. You'd basically need to do everything I have done, plus the rain sensor stuff. What I have set up is one touch modules (which roll the window all the way down or up when each wire gets a +12v pulse), then relays to send that +12v pulse whenever they receive a ground pulse. The alarm sends out a ground pulse, which triggers a relay(since the alarm can't take the load of 4 relays) that triggers 4 other relays that trigger the one touch modules (1 in each door). That is all for 1 direction, up or down. If you want up and down, double all that. The rain sensor will also provide a negative trigger, just like the alarm, but the rain sensor and such will determine when that negative trigger is sent. Not sure if I've shown it to you or not, but I have done a write up on the one touch modules. That'd be the first step, and allow you to roll all your windows up\down with one touch of the window switch, just like how our driver side's window is on down.
The only reason I went to 5k on the resistor was because I more than doubled the capacitance, went from 1000uF(with a 10k resistor) to 2200uF. I started out with the 10k resistor on it, but it took too long to discharge after each use. I held up another 10k resistor to it and it takes about 4-5 seconds to discharge which is fine because by then the windows are just finishing rolling down.
Got the package today according to me wife, I'm at work when the mail comes so I'll open it when I get home. Thanks again, how much do I owe you for shipping and such?
That was a good thing adding going to 5K as you already figured out, helps to recover faster if you need too. Don't worry about it, just let me know if you like the water soluble flux. Use an old tooth brush and warm water to get it off then blow it dry with compressed air. It will look like any board you do is totally professional. Lol. I also found a board that should work well as a rain sensor.
Jeff
I don't want to go as far as remote controlled, I already have an automated house and that itself is enough for me to keep up with lol. I just want a rain sensor so when its wet, everything closes. Simple?
Like your thread title. Mod shenanigans? Seems a certain mod has more time on his hands for shenanigans since he now drives a car that's not always broke lol. Boring
Or just completely swap to a black interior :)

It really wasn't all that hard, just a lot of trial and error, lol. As far as the door panels, I will be getting new ones once I find something is good shape. These are cracked and the leather is peeling off, etc. The headliner will get something darker, and at some point the carpet might change too. I just don't want to change the dash itself to charcoal so I have to leave enough tan stuff behind to still make it somewhat an even mix.
Cleaned the engine bay up a bit and installed some bolts that Jeff sent me on the PCV and vacuum tree. They accent it look pretty good, IMO. I want more of these now lol. Also installed some loom and wiped some stuff down. This weekend the car is getting as detailed as I can get without going too crazy, I have no orbital (I will someday).

This almost looks 3D...whoa.

Lol I'm trippin' out man! I like those bolts. I used them to mount the blower, need more. If you have a Fastenal close they carry those in all sizes and their cheap!
I remembered my L67 TB adapter plate came with them and I just painted them black so I'm getting the paint off them now, lol. I want to get the cross braces, supercharger and POSSIBLY TB sensors. I just need to find somewhere to buy them (Fastenal, if they're online) and the threads of them all.
Those bolts are 304'stainless instead of 17-8. I did mention to use a small amount of anti seize on them right? I ended up buying 100 of the bolts so I've got a couple extra lol. I haven't had time to see about the bolts for the braces although I've been asked about them a couple of times now. I'll look into it probably Thursday. Might need to know if people want socket head or hex head. I can also get most others as well as external torqx and some flanged bolts. Speciality washers and pretty much any kind of hardware. They are just one street over from my work. Let me know and I'll put together a package.
Jeff
Nope, didn't know about the anti-seize, but I'll put some on tomorrow. I've got a car meet to goto on 7\11 so I'm hoping to get the bolts in by then. I heard from a few guys at work that I can get them up in Springfield for cheap. Dad is coming down on Sunday so I was thinking of having him grab some. I dunno. The ones you sent me are nice though...
I'm going to go by there tomorrow and see about the bolts braces, but don't think I can get them too you by Friday. Are you wanting socket heads like that, or like a button head?
Jeff
Socket head, I'm heading up to Springfield tomorrow to run a few errands and I plan to stop by Fastenal to see what they have. I'm going to try and get some from there, along with some for the supercharger bolts. We'll see though. Thanks man
Eeek, you are going to end up spending about $2-10 a bolt.
Jeff
At fastanel? I paid 6 bucks for all the bolts for blower to lim. 8?
If it's that pricey I'll have some friends at work give me some that are black and paint them, lol. We'll see how much they are, I mainly want the cross braces. I hope to get a clean coolant tank and a few other odds and ends while I'm up there, too. I'm actually going to do a walk around on the car tomorrow morning before I go so I can make a list, lol.
