Re: 2000 GTP...and so it begins...(LOTS of PICS)
Starter, TQ converter bolts, ZZP plate, TB, CAI, and exhaust bolts are in, transmission is draining as I speak, drip pan was a total fail, glad I left the shift kit for last thing under the car. ZZP plate was also a fail, I had to use washers to get the rear\lower bolt to torque down completely. Break time, but it'll hopefully get done today.
Re: 2000 GTP...and so it begins...(LOTS of PICS)
It's so close to done I can taste it. Well, it might be the transmission fluid I'm tasting. All that's left is connecting the starter, putting in the battery, bleeding the brakes, and filling the transmission\engine with fluids. I have to take care of my son the rest of the day so I'm pretty much dead in the water til tomorrow morning. Pics:

I'll be zip tying the HVAC vacuum line to the strut bar so it looks better.
Re: 2000 GTP...and so it begins...(LOTS of PICS)
gook work on the valve covers and blower!
p.s. dont forget the left side bracket! lulz
Re: 2000 GTP...and so it begins...(LOTS of PICS)
LOL, I left that off so the battery would go in easier. I forgot to add I had Oreillys charge it up for me too, so I can take the fuel pump relay out and turn the engine over for about 30 seconds to prime the oil pump.
Re: 2000 GTP...and so it begins...(LOTS of PICS)
haha i didnt even think about that! lol
Re: 2000 GTP...and so it begins...(LOTS of PICS)
this is great, i was hoping you were going to do the SC in silver and fuel rails black but it looks amazing, do an all around couple of pics when your all done
Re: 2000 GTP...and so it begins...(LOTS of PICS)
After I give her a good bath, lol. Sitting for damn near 6 months has taken it's toll...

Mother Nature pooped on my plans today, it rained up until about 2 hours ago. This means the cars off the road (legally) until Monday. I couldn't get it running since it was raining, so I couldn't get it inspected, so I couldn't get tags. Once it stopped raining for 5 minutes I was out working in the mud though. Brakes are bled, tires are on (cept the rear driver, gotta jack up the car a bit more), filled engine with oil, poured the first gallon of antifreeze in, put the battery in (not connected), ran the PCV vacuum line, and a few random things I'm forgetting. Basically all thats left now is putting the transmission pan on and connecting the start...AKA the stuff under the car.
Re: 2000 GTP...and so it begins...(LOTS of PICS)
i couldn never let mine sit for that long, i would push it down the street if i had to get her movin a little bit lol
Re: 2000 GTP...and so it begins...(LOTS of PICS)
I did still in it a few times and make vroom vroom and whine noises, but that's about it.
Re: 2000 GTP...and so it begins...(LOTS of PICS)

My wife told me I looked cool though, not like this guy:

Re: 2000 GTP...and so it begins...(LOTS of PICS)
oh my god hahaha the fact that that vid actually made me laugh histerically is just amazing haha
Re: 2000 GTP...and so it begins...(LOTS of PICS)
I'm not saying I tried to do that, but apparently I have to have my key in the ignition and connected to power to move my shifter like that.
Re: 2000 GTP...and so it begins...(LOTS of PICS)
yeah that guy for sure thought he was in fast and furious
Re: 2000 GTP...and so it begins...(LOTS of PICS)
Well, it runs. but like dog ****. Sounds like a giant supercharged lawn mower. Checked for the spark plugs being connected correctly and they are, checked for crossfire, there is none. I did rev it up to about 3-4k for a few seconds and it'd build a little boost, but the SES was flashing and it's been solid since. I know that the flashing is when the code happened, and the solid means it's still on file so I'll check it out a bit tomorrow too. No knocking though, so that's a good sign.
Re: 2000 GTP...and so it begins...(LOTS of PICS)
P0300, I hate that code. Basically the computer saying "I'm not running right, but have no idea why, so I'm gonna ***** about it"
Re: 2000 GTP...and so it begins...(LOTS of PICS)
I had the worst luck with misfires and flashing SES on my first GP, it sucks
Re: 2000 GTP...and so it begins...(LOTS of PICS)
I'm using the original ICM, but different coils (came on the JY motor) so I'm gonna swap them. If that doesn't work I'll drench the intake with carb cleaner looking for vacuum leaks, if that doesn't work I will probably cry like a school girl for awhile, then do some more research.
I've checked for spark by pulling the plug wire off of the coil, and trying to start it while looking for a spark, all 6 had a spark.
