The larger side of the arm's bushings are done. I figured I needed to cut 7mm off of each bushing half, then used a very sophisticated measuring device to mark the bushing. By that I mean I took a thumb tack, cut it down to 7mm, then held it up to the bushing and used a bread knife to mark the poly. Pic of that:

You can see the others in these pics, the Dremel cut off blade didn't cut deep enough so I had to take said bread knife and finish it off. It was a rough cut as planned. I always cut stuff to big so I have room for error:

Then I used my normal grinder to smooth out the cuts and get it just right:

They line right up to the outside of the arm perfectly, I'm going to paint the arms so I'm not installing the bushing quite yet. From past experience, I know they are a ***** to remove, lol:

Coming along nicely! poly STINKS when you cut it, lol.

All done except for the sleeves. The stock sleeve is just a hair too small (around 1mm), so I might try running it, I might not. The other sleeve just needs to me marked and cut, nothing major. Pics:

Got the sleeves cut to 5\8" and friend from work did them for me and I just got them back. Depending on weather and gumption, I might throw these guys in tomorrow.

Sure don't see much gumption these days, least-wise in these parts. I bet your chick didn't bat an eye when you went for the bread knife, she probably can identify plastic by the smell of it burning by now. Ha ha. Warn us before you road test, and keep it shiny side up!

She tried calling me out when she was making breakfast yesterday, saying she smelled burning poly, but I shut that down, lol. I didn't get anywhere near the stove with the poly stuff...this time, haha. She's a big help with I need her, but she's not much of a gear head, unfortunately. She let's me do what I want in the kitchen, as long as I clean up the mess when I'm done. She loves the car just as much if not more than me, so she likes everything I do to it.

I hate the fact that I got laid off here and there and then got pretty sick, so now I can't do the rockers or the AVT box yet. I'm still on the mend from being sick, so I'm back at work, but no overtime yet. Even when I do start working overtime again I gotta get my truck going again so we can move. Rockers will probably happen later this year or maybe even next tax season. Bleh.

I hear ya, I'd like to move too but yeah must truck. A co-worker went to an F150 from an S10 this week and that may be my opportunity to score a truck finally. Man is it a POS though. Anyway, yeah I'm finding out about how pushing recovery can be bad so pace yourself, man.

That's why it's taken me 2 weeks to put bushings in trailing arms, lol. Too bad you didn't get the F150, I know a **** ton about those too, My 89 F150 has 84,000 original miles on (bought by my grandpa new) and I'e done almost as much to it as I have the car, lol.

Just bought myself a birthday present. $48.55 shipped for a pillar gauge and 3 gauges. I can make out "Oil Pres" on the first gauge, can't really see the other 2. eBay says it's AFR, Temp, and Intake Pressure. I guess we'll just have to see. Anyone wanna guess on the brand?

I'm kinda excited about it, lol. The kid in me has always wanted pillar gauges, and oil pressure is something I've always wanted to monitor. I'll just live in curiosity til they get here, lol. I'm sure I'll need to pick up a sender for it and such, but who knows. I'm thinking black (along with the other pillar) what do you guys think?

Ehh overrated...pillars pods stick out like a sore thumb, I rather rock the HUD pod and not worry about everyone trying to race me anytime they spot the gauges,

Really I don't need the pod, except for the oil pressure, head unit shows it all. I figure if I don't like it I can at least sell it for what I paid for it on here. Never really liked the HUD pods.

Oil Pressure, Fuel Pressure, and Vacuum\Boost. All Glow shift. Now I just need senders for it all, lol.

They all light up, and the vacuum gauge works. I have some bad news though. Sucking is easier than blowing, it just comes natural to me.

And I just realized it's oil temp and not oil pressure. ****ty.

I decided to ditch the fuel pressure gauge and go with oil pressure. So last night I ordered a glowshift oil pressure and an autometer temp sender for the oil temp gauge, that stuff should be here Monday. I'm thinking I can wire it all up though so when they get here I can just swap the gauge and install the senders and be good...we'll see though.
