Re: 2000 GTP...Retros, suspension goodies, And RUST!
That's similar to what I'm running but I think I have a different offset. I also am running 245 tires, so they might be a little close. I'd be willing to bet the different you felt was the bushings, because the trailing arms are under tension, the lateral arms are under the most "pressure" while cornering. Either way they are a sh*t ton better than stock and more durable. Nothing like fubaring a suspension component from a curb check.

Re: 2000 GTP...Retros, suspension goodies, And RUST!
I've got 245 tires as well. There's still some lateral flex in them but they are way better.

Re: 2000 GTP...Retros, suspension goodies, And RUST!
UMI T/As are the same width as the GMPP tubular style but UMI uses a stronger metal and grease-able poly bushings. It's BMR that has rubbing issues cause those are beefy as hell lol

Re: 2000 GTP...Retros, suspension goodies, And RUST!
I'll be measuring these when they come in for poly bushings, I actually need to start researching that, lol.

Is that dorman, gmpp, umi?

Re: 2000 GTP...Retros, suspension goodies, And RUST!
Wrong right wrong

I didn't think there was two different gmpp styles, maybe i should have read up a little in the post lol.

Re: 2000 GTP...Retros, suspension goodies, And RUST!
Yup we been trying to figure it out.. Dorman didn't make TA for us years ago.. Only upgraded them was the GMPP.. I know so guys got the round style and some got the square style.. Both are a improvement over factory though.

Are those your BMRs? If so, check and see if the bushings are the same and mesasure them lol. Once I have the measurements I'll dig through Energy's catalog and find the size I need.

Naw some other guys lol
Yea they're mine. I'll take measurement for you tomorrow.

Re: 2000 GTP...Retros, suspension goodies, And RUST!
IK someone who may still be selling GMPP tubular T/A and they are in good shape. IDK if I wanna buy them or just fork over the green for UMIs

Re: 2000 GTP...Retros, suspension goodies, And RUST!
Well the general consensus that I've seen...ish... is that the GMPPs (round) are slightly better than the Dormans (which are the exact same as the square GMPPs), and the BMR\UMIs are slightly better than the round GMPPs. Some have said that it is due to the poly bushings. I hope to shed some light on that, but who knows. If your lateral arms aren't upgraded, then anything over round GMPPs would be a waste, IMO. 91Parkave had a little setup he got from a tractor supply store or something like that, but they were heavy and looked like they wounldn't hold up on dirt roads all that well since the joints are exposed. The next round of upgrades will be beefed up lateral arms and AGXs all around. That'll be awhile since I have to do the rockers, get the truck going, move, and goto Arizona...probably not in that order, I hope.

Re: 2000 GTP...Retros, suspension goodies, And RUST!
GMMP bars will be here Friday, cluster LEDs are swapped out for the SMD's, and everything is great...for now, lol. Here's some pics from the driver seat:

Re: 2000 GTP...Retros, suspension goodies, And RUST!
After looking at Red's pics above, it's pretty obvious the size is different, lol. I got the GMPP bars in the mail on Friday, then pressed out the stock bushings today. I have everything measured, and I think that I need 2 set's of 3.2125 bushings from Energy and cut them down a bit. Here's the arms, all naked and stuff:

I'm gonna call Energy tomorrow and run everything buy them before I actually buy everything. At the end of it all I'll probably save about $40, but it's fun to do little projects like this.

Re: 2000 GTP...Retros, suspension goodies, And RUST!
Poly bushings are on the way. I'll end up having to cut them down to make them fit, but oh well.

Woot should make quite a difference. Sometimes you just can't beat a set of budget friendly upgrades.

Re: 2000 GTP...Retros, suspension goodies, And RUST!
We'll see how it all works out, bushing should be here Friday. Nothing much has been happening to the car lately, I built my boy a swing set for his birthday so that's been the main time user. That and I got bronchitis pretty bad, Doc pulled me out of work saying it was almost pneumonia and naturally both kids got some stomach bug. I think my wife goofed up and started cooking with grenades and barbed wire, but who knows. I gotta hand it to her though, she's been taking care of the 3 of us like a trooper, I got me a keeper.
Naturally I had to do something, and since we're all basically bed ridden , I pulled the gauge cluster to finish up the 04+ needles. The speedometer rubbed the lens above ~40 MPH, and both the tachometer and speedometer were too far away from the overlay so a lot of light bled out. I have it mostly back together, but I have to re-stab the speedometer needle, it's about 3-4 MPH off. I figured it would be off, but that was pretty close for putting it on at a stop. Tomorrow I'll probably take the family for a cruise to get some fresh air and set the cruise at 60 MPH and put it on again.
Here's the after pics, but the camera doesn't really pick it up all that well. Before the 2 bigger needles were letting a LOT of light out around the base:

Not much I can do about the odometer, unless I pull the gauge face off and since I don't have a spare cluster, I'll hold off on that.
Funny thing about this pic is only the parking lights are on. If you look over the dash you'll see the sheds lit up...that's all from my Halos, lol. Oh yea, and the needles don't let anywhere near as much light out around the base:
