Re: Now with moar retrofit lights!
Broke the SD lip out of storage today. Did a quick fix on the bad rip on one corner, sanded it down, and sprayed it white. Finished the clear coat about 2 hours ago. Looks good. Need to wait til tomorrow to spray the black in the center. Should have it mounted late tomorrow or Monday.
I'll try and get pics up tomorrow.
Operation put my SD lip on before Palm is a go.

Plam is better. Keep it that way!
Re: Now with almost moar SD lip. (in b4 PlamTree)
I'll go get a big stapler and slap it on there tonight!
And I spelled it like that on purpose (I live right next to Palm Coast, FL, and we affectionately call it Plam Coats)

Got the lip on today. Sits well. Gonna have to use a tiny bit of liquid bond on the sides though. The 3m Extreme Hold has failed me slightly. Holding on, but 2 little spots wont. Ran in 6 screws. 2 per wheel well, and 2 in the center.
The white is a tiny bit off, but for some reason it looks far more off in the pictures. That and the car is absolutely filthy. Should match a little bit better after a bath, and the sun bakes the clearcoat.

When I first saw this picture I thought you had a huge racing wing on the back of it....I blame the fence
Re: Now with moar SD lip. (in b4 PlamTree)
LOL, god no. Though I am in a huge self conflict between getting a Daytona/Special/40th spoiler, or a SLP Gen 1.
Re: Now with moar SD lip. (in b4 PlamTree)
Get a gen 2 you know you wanna be a twin with me
Re: Now with moar SD lip. (in b4 PlamTree)
I had a gen 2, and I loved it. Time for something different

But I really like the daytona style

I'd normally reply with "read what I said above" but I know that most people on GPF are special needs, so instead here's a gif of kitties with explosions

I know the color is off some. The pictures make it look far worse than it is, dunno why.

Been very busy with life, so not much has happened.
Moved out of state, started a kickass job, and i've been working 50+ hours a week, so the slut hasn't gotten much attention.
It finally got a bath though.

Re: Now with moar SD lip. (in b4 PlamTree)
Had to get exhaust work done to pass state inspection (the whole no Catalytic thing) So while I was there I had them weld on new mufflers, sound great IMO. Deep at idle, but doesn't get any louder as you rev it, so absolutely no drone, and almost no rasp.
Exhaust is now SpeedDaddy headers, ZZP flex, 3" Magnaflow catalytic, stock resonator, Thrush Turbo mufflers. The stock tips are tack-welded in, cause I'm supposed to have some G8 GXP tips arriving shortly.

Re: Now with moar SD lip. (in b4 PlamTree)
The last little splendifirous act was a small wire tuck/alt wire upgrade. Basically split the harness open, removed the stock alt to fuse box wire, and rerouted/heat shrinked/ removed connectors to clean the bay up a little. There is now a fuse in line between the alt and the fuse box, and I have another wiring harness being shipped as we speak. (Going to splice in more wire so I can have no wires running from the front support to the motor.
