Unless there is something wrong with that flex plate don't touch it. After destroying 2 in about 6 months and snapping all 8 arp bolts off even though they were red locktite'd in im getting sick of doing flex plates. I don't have time to wait for a meziere billet plate this just needs to get back together and running normal so I can leave it for my wife as a spare vehicle incase she needs while im gone.
The weld doesn't seem like a bad idea to me LOL im half temped to do that too. These last 2 have really pissed me off. The 1st time it was cracked between the 3 windows in the flex and at least I could limp that one around like when I drove it to the shop. The time around like I said all 8 bolts are snapped off flush with the crank.
