Chris Harmon built it. Stage 2 according to him. Everything except hardened input shaft, im not sure why he has it on its side

Good on Chris.. although I'd check that he doesn't clean the cases etc. Cause that writing is JY writing of the stock number of the car typically. Still don't like rust on an input shaft. I've yet to see one sitting in my garage for 3+ years rust.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Good to hear on the reasons for the writing etc. IDK on the rust ... that input shaft should have had a layer of oil on it from the trans fluid that flowed through it. If that's rusted, is the pump shaft rusty (goes through input shaft) and bigger IMO is .. did the pump vanes rust, did parts in the valve body rust.

Knowing that transmissions sit in junkyards and on shelfs for years w/o signs of rust, makes me leary of this one. I mean.. in my garage (Connecticut) I've had them sitting on the floor next to the car that comes in wet, frozen in snow etc through all weather in the course of a year and ... never seen a rusty input shaft like that. Hence my thoughts on it. I have a trailer with trans parts in it .. they've been in the rain and the only ones with rust are the ones sitting in a puddle of water.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Keep the regal and eventually find a motor for it then flip it for that price your better off having all 3 for a period in time until you can get some other motors etc

Wouldn't hurt to go ahead and list it and see if you have any biters. Then again there may not be any interest in it the way it sits so you may have to go the get a used motor and get it running route.

I cant wait till Friday getting gpos tranny and a few last parts for the gtx im too excited
What does the harmonic balancer look like?

Also I swapped a l26 into my gtp and the only thing I had to take off was the upper intake, the lower intake, heads and harmonic balancer. All the sensors in the block, ie cam, crank, knock, are the same 97-06.

Oh okay cuz mine didn't sound that bad when the bottom end let go on it. It sounded more like when the balancer went bad on my 97.
