Chris Harmon built it. Stage 2 according to him. Everything except hardened input shaft, im not sure why he has it on its side

Good on Chris.. although I'd check that he doesn't clean the cases etc. Cause that writing is JY writing of the stock number of the car typically. Still don't like rust on an input shaft. I've yet to see one sitting in my garage for 3+ years rust.
Good to hear on the reasons for the writing etc. IDK on the rust ... that input shaft should have had a layer of oil on it from the trans fluid that flowed through it. If that's rusted, is the pump shaft rusty (goes through input shaft) and bigger IMO is .. did the pump vanes rust, did parts in the valve body rust.
Knowing that transmissions sit in junkyards and on shelfs for years w/o signs of rust, makes me leary of this one. I mean.. in my garage (Connecticut) I've had them sitting on the floor next to the car that comes in wet, frozen in snow etc through all weather in the course of a year and ... never seen a rusty input shaft like that. Hence my thoughts on it. I have a trailer with trans parts in it .. they've been in the rain and the only ones with rust are the ones sitting in a puddle of water.
Ok so im getting him to send pictures of it close up, Butt I have the opportunity to get a 3800 camaro no motor for 200 should I get it and sell the Buick regal?
give you $150 for the regal.
Keep the regal and eventually find a motor for it then flip itfor that price your better off having all 3 for a period in time until you can get some other motors etc
Wouldn't hurt to go ahead and list it and see if you have any biters. Then again there may not be any interest in it the way it sits so you may have to go the get a used motor and get it running route.
Yeah I might just sell it to my moms bf for the 400, but im going to make a post on cl if anyone wants it ill sell it to anyone for the 400 just to get the money back on it, but yeah I live in west Dundee ill let you know my day off I think its Friday and Sunday just let me know hopefully I can get this camaro tonight or tomorrow I found a motor and transmission but it manual ill have to switch it out and relearn stick haven't driven stick in 3 years lol
I never looked it kinda sounds like its something up top under the valve covers and kinda the bottom end as well she ran it low of oil I dont know how long lol
Oh okay cuz mine didn't sound that bad when the bottom end let go on it. It sounded more like when the balancer went bad on my 97.
