that could be so. If I'm in drive. I have to like really give it gas for it to move from a dead stop. If I floor it it won even burn out. If I foor it in drive it will go to 3k rpms and won't pass any further. I don't feel it shift ever...but if I shift down to 1 or 2 from a dead stop it acts nomal obvi no shifting but performance feel wise.

If I put it in drive it won't even move itself in idle. Which it didn't do this before

the car is the confusing one, i drove it all around today, its running very awesome! needs new ignition and then im sure it will run even better. im really like the push button to start on the car. I did notice the coolant elbows are leaking, so ill prob put a autozone one in there till i can order the aluminum ones. along with the LIM aluminum gasket, althought i have the permetex rubber ones which i may just use/ w/sealant.

Installed front suspension, gawddd it rides so much smoother, with new mount tops and all. just need to do rear those are stupid blown. oil coming out of struts and everything.

So trans is shifting great, no grinds, no nothing, dont know what it was doing that day but it seems all good now.

i have SES for secondary 02, and mis-fires. which i have parts to do both.

For whatever reason I can only get the sense that you just beat the **** outta the car everytime you step on the gas. You always say its doesnt drive right, it doesnt burn them up in 1st or 2nd, but then works in drive, but then doesnt work at all, then its fine again now? Then the car didnt want to move past 3k rpms, and it wouldnt burn out, but then worked when you put it down into 1st and 2nd manually. Then we got beast mode??

Like wft is really going on.

quite the opposite, i dont beat on the car at all. this is the thing, i only said once it didnt drive right, i have only driven it like 3-4 times and each time after i fix something i go take around a couple blocks to make sure i got no leaks/sqeaks etc. then it goes back in the garage for the next thing to fix. All those symptons you/I listed was on the same ONE TIME drive these are the things i noticed it was doing. so instead i said i would keep fixing what i knew needed to be fix and then get to that problem when i was done with everything else, i replaced the front shocks/springs, put the car down, went to test drive and make sure everything was right, and the car was back to normal completely, the car shifted great, while in D it acted like a s/c should. 1/2/D all work the same, shift points are great, power feels good. Idk what it was honestly...a weird hiccup.

but you got it alittle backwards, i said i DID burn them up in 1/2 but NOT in drive.

If it only moves in 1/2 and won't get past 3k its likely the forward apply band in the transmission. Or other wbody fluke. Lol triple edge has a trans faq on their site.

yea see before it wouldnt move at all if i put it on D, so that forward apply band made sense but now its all back to normal, ill take a look at it.

Two of my buddy's broke the apply band within a week of each other. Could be a shift cable or cable adjustment issue.

i did notice that the guy prior had a nitrous system on this car, he has zex stickers, wire tap'in for the TB for the WOT BOX, im familiar with the Zex system since i had it on my mazda 3, and i found 4 holes in trunk IE, bottle mount. So im going to assume thats why car fax shows a motor swap haha. He tried to re-route wires and crap and it was just terrible, the throttle kept sticking and so i went to t he cable and saw there was a line being routed through it and not allowing the cable to retract, easy fix.

GOD she is almost mechanically sound...then i can plate her...mod her...then tune her. i want to do a compression test but i dont want to see something i dont wanna lol.

Changing out the plugs and wires today. Got tr6 plugs. Recommend gap? 3.4 pulley. Possible tune.
