I have 2 others; a gold 2000GT and a immaculate white 2002 GTP coupe.
The other white one in the picture there is a 98 GTP.
Same year and color that I have. I like it!
The GT is the daily - bone stock 205K. I just recently rebuilt the L36 and it already has over 11K on it.
I have two motors I'm building right now and haven't decided what to do with the 2002 GTP. The motor has a knock.
The 98 is in much better condition than my 2000 GT.
2000 GT problems:
3 out of 4 wheel bearings need replaced
ABS light on of course
AC blend door (driver) needs replaced, passenger already replaced
Power steering pump leaking
Gas gauge doesn't work, 103K on a Airtex (surprised it lasted that long)
Dash board is split right where they always do in a hot climate like Texas
Needs rear brakes
Needs shocks all the way around
Differential making some serious noise, annoying as heck
Last but not least it smells bad, left sunroof open like 4 times in the rain LOL
Salvageable parts on the 2000 GT:
Rebuilt L36 (going in the 98 GTP)
ZZP over-sized radiator
Transmission shifts perfectly but diff is making noise (I think it's the diff)
ECBM
Battery is only 4 months old
Climate control
Head unit and Bose speakers/Amps
All windows work
Axles
Lower control arms only have about 40K on them
Sunroof and motor
Seats and door panels
So the plan is to transplant the L36 into the 98 and put a big whopping pulley on the supercharger.
When I get the 98 running some of the aforementioned GT salvageable parts will be available. The entire chassis may also be available if someone is interested. The underside of the car is immaculate as is the strut towers. It may be a good start for a full blown drag car. If no one's interested I'll just donate the car to charity.
