So before I get destroyed by a onslaught of angry GP folks, let me just say... no one feels worse than me or is more angry so save it.
Anyway...
The opposing car hit my front right end nearly square on the wheel. It sent the wheel backwards as you can see, and then actually canted the engine. The body shop is quoting me over $6,000 which is already more than it's worth and that's just for what he can see. Anyone have any thoughts and suggestions? (besides stringing me up) I'd appreciate it.

Same, can't see the picture. If you could use photobucket to upload, cause Gmail just gives me a 404 trying to access the picture.
we cant see the picture.
well i cant anyways.
anyways. try and find a new car. you can find another one in decent shape for hopefully under 6k. good luck.
yeah, that's going to be totaled. If you have the means to, or someone you know who really likes you, you could buy it back from the insurance company, and then fix it, and get a salvage title.
Though, you'd be better off taking anything of yours from the car, and getting another.
Keep in mind, the engine is literally twisted several degrees and although the motor mounts didn't snap, they look like spaghetti. Even if I could repair the body damage and it isn't tweaked, I may have destroyed the transmission, the entirety of the drive train, the engine might be damaged. I am fairly confident i murdered my car. Of course, I should count my blessings that after spinning around several times I got out of the car and walked over to the other guy who was also okay... a bit dizzy but okay.
Ugh...
New subframe...new passenger side suspension/brake assembly...new mounts...and whatever else...like door trim, headlight/fog light, fender/hood/bumper...
Maybe a grand worth of crap if not less if you DIY it.
