The rule of thumb to set the height of these things is normally the same height as the curve, but I've seen cases in which they lay down a concrete post (like the ones used for electrical lines) across the street and cover it with concrete or pavement.

Besides all that a lot of the streets around here are in really bad shape. What happens here is that when they make them, they just set the ground surface even and put some pavement on it. No foundation, no concrete. 90% of the streets here are made like that. When it rains they get filled with pot holes and heavy load trucks finish the job. They remain like this the whole rain season, they don't get fixed or nothing until it stops raining. That's a good 4 months worth of random pot holes all over town. Once the rain stops, they go and just cover the pot holes with some pavement (it's just a truck loaded with pavement and 4 or 5 guys with a shovel) and move on. Then the process starts all over again, so after a few years the streets are mainly made of pavement, pot holes, uneven pot hole patches and speed bumps.

Still this is the number one city in Mexico in which people buy aftermarket wheels! lmao! What many of these brave fellows do is that they switch back to the stock wheels in the rain season. But still there are a lot of shops out there that all they do is fix bent and broken wheels and obviously they have a lot of work haha.

So yeah, lowering springs, hardened suspension and lower profile wheels are just a breakdown waiting to happen. :th_thumbsup-wink:

Actually sometimes I want to take off the LCAs they rattle like hell and drive me crazy sometimes. I think I'm going to try a different brand at least.

Your LCA's shouldn't rattle, period. You have other issues. I almost thought maybe the person that installed them put them in wrong, but thats impossible. Check the bolts with the car on the ground to see if they're tight. They are just the regular non adjustable ones right?

If everything checks out, are you sure the rattle is coming from the rear of the car? Check sway bar links possibly?

I searched in ls1tech and it looks like it's common for the lca bolts to get loose even within minutes of driving. I read some solutions too. I had them checked this afternoon and they were indeed loose. We tighten them up as hard as possible and used loctite. The rattle is gone, hopefully it will stay like that if not we will have to try something else.

The rear end is also very noisy now. I may have a deal on a set of factory 3.23s

Yes, when you install them, you have to drive the car a few miles then retighten.

sounds to me like when you were beating on that glass factory 10 bolt you chipped the pinion gear, putting factory gears back in isnt a solution theyll just break again you need an upgraded rear end if your gonna beat on it

That's most likely the case, it wasn't in a very good shape to begin with. It was kind of noisy when going 50+ mph these last mods and punishment probably finished breaking it. I'm going to just replace with factory gears for now. I have a few stuff that I need to fix on it too. It still needs tires, rear discs and brake pads. Labor isn't expensive so it's ok, I'll se about getting a better one when this one breaks again lol.
