Dude, our PCM's dont really use VE and even then, its much easier than LSx.
Thus a tune basically involves a MAF tune and thats it.
Maybe play with timing a little and adjust PE tables to command a more consistent AFR.
No way it should cost anywhere near that much.
MAF tune to dial in some numbers, then a whole butt load of other crap to get it to run right.
Adjust injector tables for the 42.5's, get a wideband etc etc etc.
Lots and lots of stuff.
He doesn't work there but he knows just about everyone there. He and his girlfriend own the GTO they have its about 550chp. Before the goat they had an un-tuned 04 CompG 3.4 pulley, only flow mod was a down pipe. That car hated life, I feel bad for whoever bought it. We hang out Friday nights at the rest stop on 95 in Delaware a few miles before the tolls, sometimes we do cheese steak runs to Philly.
......
Doesn't Andy self tune?
Andy doesn't self tune he friend Chris does and he is really good at it too, Chris use to have a 98 GTP with a full size intercooler, L36 block, cam, P&P heads, built trans by Eric, and a bunch of other stuff.but sold it now he has a GTO.
Andy might be buying his tuner off of him, but if not im gonna see what Chris says about tuning my car.
