Ohhhh I see now. I'm going to probably end up with 3 amps when I'm done, this is starting ta get complicado amigo. I will need some help, so bare with me. Should I power the amps all off of one 1/0 wire from the battery? My hu has three pre amp outputs, one for front, one for rear, and one for sub, will i need 3 sets of rca's to run from the hu to the trunk? I think it would be easiest to have all amps in the trunk, for power reasons.

This is completely new to me.. so please help!!

you have a distribution block? thats what i use when i run 2+ amps. you can split the power and ground wire into two so you can run 2 amps.

TWO 0 / 1 GAUGE IN FOUR 4 / 8 GAUGE OUT DISTRIBUTION BLOCK HEAVY METAL BODY NEW | eBay

^This one you can put in your power or ground wire and you can get 4 new ground wires out of it.

^ This is what i use, they have 2 fuses for extra protection. i bought these at Walmart. Sorry its a big messy back there in my trunk but you get the idea how your power/ground goes in one end and you can get 2 power/grounds out the other end. i have 2 distribution blocks. one for my power and one for my ground since im also running 2 amps

Thank you for the pictures and link. Will 4 gauge power and ground be enough for a 300w amp, a 160w amp, and like a 180w amp?

Here's my distro blocks. Granted my wirings not snug and neatly ran but it's a whole hell of alot better than that sloppy excuse above.

Ok then, so if I order this amp install kit: 4 Gauge Amplifier Installation Kit I can use the 4 gauge power wire to power all of my amps (with the fuse inline), the 4 gauge ground wire to ground all my amps, the speaker wire however i need it, and order two of these distribution blocks Lightning Audio Car Distribution Block (1) 4 8 Gauge Input to (4) 8 AWG Outputs | eBay

Tell me what you think of this, what I'm doing wrong, what else you suggest etc. I already ordered the boss kit so I will use what I have but mostly this kit. What are the spade terminals for?

As for the RCAs, still need 3 sets from the HU's 3 separate pre-amps?

Does anybody have pictures of where they ran their wires and stuff? Will all these wires fit lol?

K? I didn't feel like buying more wire at the moment since my system isn't done, I just have it like that for my door speakers at the moment. So how about you all chill the **** out about my wiring at the moment, it works fine and I was just giving hippo an example

Use one lead for power and one for ground and disto off them. Yes that's fine just use the correct wire size.

I ran all of my rca's in the center of the car under the carpet. The power on the right hand side.

I wouldn't even bother replying if my wiring job looked like that. Wiring anything like you just did can cause things to set on fire or fry electrical components. But keep up the good work there Dan your really leading him in the right direction.

pictures of installing under carpet? sounds complicated, but i guess you can't put them near the power wires.

ALSO will a sub enclosure that is 15" tall fit easily in the trunk? and how do you secure the enclosure to the car?

I don't have any pictures of that part Hippo sorry. You don't the RCA's near the power wires due to it can cause electrical interference.

I don't get what's the big deal? I was just showing him an example of a distribution block then everyone has too hate. I'm planning on cleaning it all up once I get subs again.

Don't worry about it, I got the general idea from it.

Do I need one of those like distributor things for the battery terminals when I do the big 3?

Also, I will just need TWO dist blocks overall correct?
