Two valve stems? What is the other for?
I wish I could find cool rims like that around me.. all I get is gay chrome donk style wheels.
They definitely look good on there. Nice pick up.

Seems like there's a few different reasons. Some say that they're for putting a pressure gauge on one while filling through the other so you don't lose air when you check the pressure (racing applications where precise tire pressures matter).
Another is for filling with nitrogen because (I stole this from another forum) "The density of nitrogen is slightly lower than air, so nitrogen will float on top of air. So when filling with nitrogen through stem on top you can let out the sinking air since nitrogen is taking up space in the upper portion of the wheel. I guess kinda like bleeding the air so its mainly nitrogen in there."
And yet another is for some TPMS systems. If nothing else it's a good conversation starter.
I figured it was the first one.
You mean guys?
looks good. i approve![]()
Big update coming later this week. Lots of parts in a pile on my floor, some parts on a UPS truck headed this way and more parts to be bought very soon.
Yeah, I'm a tease. What of it?
looks great man! nice choice
I bought a 60"x60" sheet of 3M 1080 Carbon Fiber vinyl and will be wrapping some interior pieces in it:
I picked up a din pocket from a Forester with a flip-up door for clean installation for my head unit, new door speakers and I still have the Type-R 12" sub and Alpine MRP-M500 amp as well that I may or may not install with the HU and speakers.
I also bought a center gauge pod and 3 gauge setup. Defi BF series with controller, Boost, EGT and Oil Temp. I wanted oil pressure but I got a great deal on this setup ($530 vs $1200 for a new Defi setup). The faces are black when they're off and light up Amber-red when powered on. They match the factory gauges perfectly and even sweep with the factory gauges on startup:
When installed they'll look like this:

And now for the big stuff - Feal STi struts. They're stock STi struts (which are good KYB units) that have been rebuilt, recharged with nitrogen, inserts polished smooth, grease fitting added and these ones are re-valved for RCE yellow tarmac springs. I'm buying the RCE springs, just haven't made the purchase yet. I also need to figure out if I'm going to need camber plates or if the tophats will work from my struts. The car won't really be any lower (23mm lower in the front and 20mm lower in the rear) because the RCE yellows are actually performance springs and not "lowering" springs. With the struts being valved specifically for them this is a better setup than just about anything except a good, properly tuned coilover setup. I didn't want coilovers because a good set costs $2K+.
I still need to buy the springs, and tophats/camber plates. I'm also buying Whiteline 27mm front and 24mm rear swaybars, new endlinks all around (have Kartboy solid rears already), a Whiteline anti-lift kit, and maybe some other suspension goodies. Car should handle like a dream when I'm done and I'll never have to listen to clunky rear struts again. All in all Ive got about 1300 into the new parts I posted and will probably spend another ~500 or so but I feel that it's worth it.
After this I'll be done for a while. Then It's time for a bigger turbo, bigger TMIC, injectors/pump, TGV deletes, and tune and maybe some better engine internals. Not planning on getting too crazy. 350-400 AWHP right now will be plenty.

Very nice selection... definitely looking forward to it.

#1 Comment made me...
"That's like 2k in gauges man. Yo dawg I heard you like gauges so we put gauges with your gauges to monitor your gauges with your gauges so you can gauge your gauges while you drive your ****ing space ship."
