If only I had something more to offer besides a couple parts.

Btw! Insurance foot the bill for this paint job plus some mods. Here's some pics of the damage that happen in a parking lot...

Upon investigating my own pictures I see I left the sun roof open while sanding! I'm pretty much a genius....

Well guys I think I'm gonna pull the trigger on some speed daddy headers and a zzp 3 inch cat. I have a award winning exhaust shop here in town I'm going to have install everything. It's a mod that's going to be necessary for me to get to my 300whp goal so it should probably be one of the first ones.... and later today I should be able to scan for kr all stock before I pop in my intense tune and 3.6 pulley. I did pop some 104's gapped to .050 and I swear the car idles smoother and feels more responsive. Or maybe it's just the 93 octane that the new bp down the road sells :/

Ok so hopefully you guys can help me out here. So tonight went on another run. From a dead stop to wot all the way to 80+ I have 0.0 kr, but when going part throttle from 30-35ish I see 0.1 to 0.4 kr if I go wot from the same speed it's stays 0.0. And boost seems to be consistent around 5psi to 5.5psi. At the top of second I see spikes of 6-7psi, is this about normal?

    Burst knock.

    It's meh.

Probably needs a tune up and new mounts to eliminate any chances of false knock; too.

Did the H-Body's have a U-Bend? If so...ditch that and try some fuel system cleaner/octane booster. If it goes away...then it's not false. Could be a simple thing like vac leak, dirty MAF, etc.

No u bend in the g body. Has fresh plugs could use wires probably. Funny thing is it's very very hard to get it to do it more than once. It's once in a blue moon and only under light throttle while making no boost. And is around 5.8 to 6 psi of boost sound normal? Or should I start looking for vac leaks. I ordered a 3.5 pulley of knock stays away after the tstat and tune on a 3.6 I'll see what happens with the 3.5 then order my 3.4 with my headers. I plan on getting an intercooler setup in August then see if I can get down to a 3.2 and run some rockers. Hopefully all that can get me close to my 300whp goal.

Last thing you want to do is pulley down if it's knocking...even at random.

That's why I suggested new mounts because if something makes contact with something else...that'll cause a false knock issue.

If you have a scanner; check the fuel trims. LTFT's and STFT's. If they're pegging at 16.4 at any point, then you've got a vacuum leak.

I'll have to scan when I get the car back it's being painted right now. My motor mounts are pretty soft. Just so I'm understanding correctly you are reading that I'm getting 0.1 to 0.4 degrees of kr on rare occasion, so not even 1* of kr, would this not be considered acceptable on a stock car? It's gotta be false knock it just seems odd it would be hard to replicate and be before boost. I was honestly expecting to see knock at wot beings the car is stock outside of colder plugs and an intake.

From discussions on here with Scotty....it's my understanding that from the factory these 3800sc cars have some 6-8* of knock. Just as reference for ya....

And that being a random blip while having fun giving her the berries I see no kr at all. But I do want to hunt this down so I'll be looking into what has been recommended
