Most of us at one time or another had the fan connector burn out Unplug it and see if it's burnt up inside

I would imagine that at high speed the fans would be considerably louder than the regular fans are? I can't even hear when my fans come on low speed (exhaust drowns everything out), usually the only way I can tell is if I have my hand out the window I can feel the hotter air rising up from under the car in traffic or when I have the app on I have it set to flash the display once the temp reaches 215. If I am running the AC it stays on and the temp never rises above about 206. I am sure that at some speed the PCM shuts off the fans as there is enough airflow to cool the system, I would think about 45 or so?
Jeff
OP what are your findings?
T-stat has been doing great and no codes once i flushed the coolant and filled radiator/overflow up.
I am keeping fingers crossed that the problem is fixed, i should probably replace the t-stat to get an accurate reading of temp?
Thank you for the fast reply's.
Currently it is staying either, barely under, on and barely over the center tick after the flush/refill of 50/50 coolant/water.
I greatly appreciate all the help that was given to solve this problem.
Have a fantastic day everyone.
No the thermostat is a mechanical device it usually either works or doesn't. It sounds as though you had air in the system, it wouldn't hurt to change the thermostat, but we were thinking that your gauge must have been off for whatever reason. If you are staying in the middle of the gauge now and aren't experiencing any more issues then it sounds like the problem was solved. FYI we also had a guy on here recently that had his condenser plugged with debris and caused him to run hot.
Regards,
Jeff
Also wouldnt be a bad idea to check that harness like I pointed out. It craps out and the high fan doesn't work
Hello again everyone.
I have unfortunate news as after i did a flush of the coolant and re-filled everything was butter smooth for about a month. She is over heating again, or appears to be with the t-stat. I park in the same spot everyday and there is never any coolant on the ground, no oil, nothing. I am so confused right now. WHERE IS ALL THE COOLANT GOING? Any advice is much appreciated, thank you.
It's empty ?
It is not Empty, but it appears to be lower than before. Well, the overflow jug is below the line now.
it could be blowing it out the tail pipes. aka head gasket, as rare as it is, it does happen.
top off the rad, then get out on the road with a some one following you, tell them to look for white smoke out the pipes when you jump on it. if so its steam. aka coolant.
you can also do a compression test of all cylinders, if one is way lower then the rest, theres your head gasket failure.
I will give this a try later this evening
Well, I have tried topping it off a few days ago. Was fine for about until now. It's really confusing me.
Did you ever check while its over heating both fans are operating?
