Here's the deal, I was getting 2-3* of KR in 2nd and 3rd gear pulls with a 3.4" Pulley, CAI, 91 octane(highest we have here in New Mexico), 2.5" DP, Autolite 104s, and a tune by Reptile, went to Autozone and bought the $25 NOS octane booster, and now I have 0* KR through all gears and RPMs. Is Octane booster bad for your engine? Does this mean I can go down to a 3.3" pulley for a day at the drags if I still have no KR?
    Thanks.

most of the time that stuff is just snake oil.

was the engine up to temp when you tested this out? knock sensors dont work when the engines cold.

I'd get a bigger downpipe and maybe a plog before thinking about making more boost.

If you already see KR with a 3.4, that KR is worse for the motor compared to 2-3 with a 3.8. There is more pressure on parts now with more boost.

Some of the stuff they put in those commercial octane boosters are not very good for your engine when run for a long time.
There are instructions on how to make your own octane booster with touleen(sp) on Google.

Might be time for some headers so you don't have to run the "octane boost", which most likely gave you 93 octane at best. Like Scotty said, it's snake oil and doesn't do a whole lot. Is this 3.4 on a Gen V or a Gen III?

it's on a Gen III, I do plan on getting some SD headers in the near future once I move into my new apartment.

id scratch the 3.4. i had a bit of trouble running a 3.4 with headers rockers, and 93. i did have high miles. and owning a tuner was all that made it work. stock tune would not cut it at all.

still no 93, its gonna be tough, hes already got kr. get a ic. that will let you run the smaller pulley.
