I have a weird popping noise when I shift out park into drive or reverse and going from either reverse to drive or vise versa. I'm thinking trans or motor mount. Was told it may be a sway bar link and I didn't see that being very ideal but looked anyways and it's tight. I know my front pass side control arm bushing is bad ( the front bushing on the control arm the one that sits like a hockey puck). Could that maybe be it? I have the new control arm just haven't installed it yet.

The car is a 04 gtp comp g. Thanks guys!

Sounds like engine or trans mount to me. Safely jack up the engine just a little, you'll spot the trouble quickly. Completely broken mounts and sway bars and links can all be difficult to spot with the car on the ground, but since your noise is more connected to shifting than turning the odds favor a bad mount. Just my .02!

he meant what runs from radiator support to the strut towers.

..however i would lean more towards trans mount.

not really, we just had a guy who replaced his whole front end chasing a clunk, it was loose brace.
