boy oh boy. stick around read some more posts. why rebuild a blower if the coupler is bad? thats a waste. coupler replacement will run you 30 bucks ordered on line.

you need headers, to run a smaller pulley and you live in CA, so headers for that dumb CARB BS are like 800 bucks. ( tog or slp ) your best move is to move, or stay stock, this is gonna cost you dearly in the wallet.

a home made intake can be removed and the stock one put back on when you go for inspection. those headers listed will allow the the egr to still work, so its still there. and you need to make sure you have a carb cat as well.
