Like the title suggests this is my first GM since 2002. My previous was 1990 Cutlass Calais International 5 speed. My boss (Wife) tells everyone that I cried when it was taken away. I now bought a 99 gt on the advice from the Boss. I call it my rebound car, I just came off of a 12 year relationship w/ a 2000 Maxims (still own). I've been swinging wrenches in one form or another for long time. Worked at GM in 97, went to GM school for advanced electrical and transaxle. What I learned from them and what they do at the stealership are two different things. I refused to be a part swapper. I'm from Pa and been reading a lot of posts and I come to find out this forum is more informed then any manual or class you can buy. Thanks for all the info you put out and keep up the great work.

its nice when you read a how to here, then read the same job in a manual, over here the how to's cut close to 1/2 the steps out. that comes from doing the job many times and learning what "needs" to be touched and what dont.

dont read to much, you'll be turbo'ed or top swapped in no time. lol

welcome back to GM. me i never left. its all ive owned pretty much. all but one beat up dodge truck, ( i killed it big time) its my little secret lol

Thanks for the greetings, I'll try to get some pics up of the gt. I'm the third owner and I got a stack of all the maintenance records that has been done from the original owner and from the person who I bought it from. My wife is friends with his wife and he is a gearhead. So I know the car was taken care of. It has notorious no 4th gear which I knew about.
