When I jumped in my car tonight I quickly realized there was no low beam headlights. I had marker lamps, high beams, turn signals working fine. I checked the fuses for the high beam and low beams and they're all fine. I'm thinking it's the headlight/cruise control module on the steering column. Would anyone agree the next step would need to replace the module? I just replaced it last year due to the high beams turning on randomly when signaling turns. Thanks in advance for agreement or other thoughts!

I'd almost put money down on it being the HDM module.

    Super common on 04-08 cars.

Just so you know, the HDM module is in the underhood fuse box and not on the steering column.

Ok so what is the hdm module. I am not familiar. I assumed it was the headlight module on the steering column.

So, headlights are working fine now except there is a whine when the windshield wipers are moving now. I doubt this is coincidence - does anyone have thoughts on why replacing the HDM relay would create a noise in the wiper motor/system?
