Hi there,
My name is Jeremiah, I own a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix GT, and I just so happened to stumble over here while walking around the internet on this fine morning (metaphorically, of course).
I was hoping to ask some questions of some people knowledgeable of body work; I need minor body work done but I'm not entirely sure how to word it (so I brought pictures, instead). If anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hey mate,
Sorry about the late post, busy busy with work and such- I'm sure we all know how it is.
Anyway, so this is probably a pretty stupid question, but I wanted to ask anyway. I recently got my second car, as mentioned above, and after I drove for a few days, I noticed some hood gap issues. I took some photos, and I'll post them later.
Now that I bought the car, it seems pretty clear to me that it was involved in an accident of sorts, just obviously not a very severe one. The driver's side headlight is pushed in, and there's a hood gap present on the driver's side, but not the passengers. Fender issues, maybe?

Most likely they replaced a few body panels now w O.E. panel they don't line up directly as the factory does, ur hood hinge could possibly bent a lil with the hood up try shifting the hood over to the other side sometimes that will get the hood even on both side of the fender

As far as the bumper goes nothing really to worry about, as long as the cat drive straight and does pull to one side and also it probably safe to go and have the alignment look at make sure the car is straight or other wise u can wear out your tires along w the front end parts if you need anymore help or questions fill free to email me at jeffgolombeski@gmail.com

So straightening out the hood might make it look halfway decent? That's my primary concern at the moment, haha. I was also concerned about the light being a bit shoved in like that, though. I'm thinking that the headlight support is broken, but I think these are new lights, so I don't think that theory holds any weight.
Just wondering how I can make it look good again.

The hood hindge would help straight out the hood, as for the headlights could be the bumper if the bumper hasn't been replaced, hard to tell if u don't know what actually happen to the car u can take out the headlight and see if the bracket is broken but if it was u would know cause the headlight would have some movement

It appears to me that yes, the hood and bumper have been painted. Poorly.
I have worked on a few 04+ GPs but that was years ago. I don't remember how it is made, behind the bumper cover. Anybody got a pic of an 04+ with the bumper cover off?
In my opinion-
Latch and striker are fine, judging by the pics provided.
Headlight misalignment could be due to an impact after the repair when paint work was done.
In any case, to correct this begins by removing the bumper cover to find the damaged component. Whatever the bumper mounts to on the top driver's side of the grille needs to move to the correct position, closer to the hood.
If the bumper impact bar moved and / or the lower rails were bent but not corrected, this could prevent fixing the issue until it is straightened or replaced.
