Ok been lurking for a few days now figured I'd get this part done. New to me 1998 GTP Gold with Black Leather 100k on the clock. Clean no rust no tears. Current mods include:

DIY intake - temporary with the pvc elbow cuz well i had the **** laying around figured what the hell. Other than that the car is 100% bone stock and well taken care of with a few minor exceptions.

    Suspension:
Ride height set by the 4 blown struts mod.
Passenger side Diagonal brace missing. (Looks like it was removed to change the battery and forgotten about.)
Brand new tires though so BONUS (unfortunately some hard compound michelin's that squeal on every turn no matter how slow)

    Interior:
So far so good on the interior it is very well kept and very clean. I broke the tab on the driver side switch panel when i pulled it apart to push the mirror adjust knob back through. Needs a good wipe down and the radio is a little schizophrenic if you dont use the steering wheel controls. Fan adjust buttons are faded through as are most of them.

    Exterior:
Dirty as hell mod currently installed. (What is up with the side moldings turning blackish on every one of these i have seen around here)
No rust but as before mentioned needs 4 struts in the worst kind of way. Passenger side mirror was hanging on by a thread when I got it so I had a buddy that works at the local JY pick me up what he could find until a gold one comes along.

Drivetrain: Supercharger coupler rattles and SC oil seal is leaking. Other than that no leaks and runs strong. LIM are the cheap plastic but seem to be ok for now.

Plans: Probably wont do much as it is a DD and I have to keep the mpg up. I am however going to have said buddy pick me up an extra SC and since I work for an engine manufacturing facility I will port the SC and CNC a silencer block off plate and TIG it in place while I do a total rebuild of all the bearings and seals. Might as well since it wont cost me anything but parts. I plan on using timken bearings all around. I plan to redo the intake with something a little less DIY when funding permits but as always wife and kids come first. If momma aint happy then aint nobody happy right? Would like to paint the rims as they are close enough to pre-gens that i think they just need some gunmetal rim paint and will be good to go. Will probably space the spoiler this weekend to fix/prevent the rust issue there. Hopefully its not too bad.

Gold definitely wasn't my first choice but the price was right, the condition was great, and I'll admit its growing on me.

Yeah the white is super common around Dallas. I see them all the time. I have a 55 mile one way commute so i put 110 on it every day and needed something a bit bigger and more comfortable than the neon I was driving. My wife hit a cow at night on an old blacktop road and totalled the neon so it was time to upgrade a bit. Her and the daughter were both perfectly fine and walked away. I have a bad back from my time in the Navy and the upgrade was definitely worth it. I lost a bit of mpg but I don't hurt every day anymore.

Yeah i have looked at that. I will probably end up picking up the stuff to try and do my own. I am usually pretty good at stuff like that. I noticed a few how to's and with my current hook up at the JY I think I can knock em out.

haha, nice list of mods. I like the dirty as hell mod, my car came with that option too (Rpo code DRT, IIRC). Thing went for a trip through a muddy field before I bought it. Good luck

Also, my two cents, ultimate compound is awesome stuff, but meguiar's also sells some professional grade polish compound (tan bottle at autozone or o'reilly, it's like $8) and that stuff works FANTASTIC. Even takes the swirls out of black paint. The bottles are huge, I've polished about 10 cars and have a little bit left over. Also, when I'm done polishing, I like to give it a once over with the Meguiar's Scratch-X 2.0, although I will admit that I was disappointed to find that it's stocked on the shelves at walmart... However, that scratch-x really gives a good polish the finishing touch, and REALLY helps with any left over swirls. Then top it off with Meguiar's Cleaner Wax.

And no, I'm not sponsored by Meguiar's, I just think they make a great product for a good price.

They make great products. I have nothing but good experiences with their products. I'll have to look into those. I've used the scratch X on an old f body I had and it worked great will definitely look into that polishing compound sounds like it lasts a good while.

I will do that i had some gp cleaner i sprayed on there and scrubbed with a stiff brush but it was taking forever. I think a lot of it is brake dust but i am scared to spray brake cleaner on that plastic. They are already kinda rough feeling like somebody scrubbed the finish off of em.
