hello my name is Lucas Myers. long time GP owner. only car i have owned since 2002. ive had a 02 SE. and a 2008 GP 3800 NA. I recently lost my 2008 in a devorce and just picked up a 2004 GT. I wanted to tune up the 2008 with a supercharger n all the fun stuff but could never get around the CANBUSS system. Im wondering if the 2004 GT is going to be the same problem. and if im going to be able to put a nice full engine back exahust system and super charger on my new 2004 GT 3800 6cyl. if ne1 knows how i can crank out some more HP on this 2004 id love the advice. ty for your time.

    GP owner for life.

    Lucas Myers

2004-2005s don't have the tuning issues so yea it's very rather easy to topswap the n/a. 2006-2008 is where it can get a bit complicated depending on what PCM it has.

Well not really lol since a GXP is a V8 but you can keep up with them you topswap and mod a bit.

You can topswap from a GTP, you can add some basic bolt ons and stay NA, you could go turbo. Its up to you and your wallet.

it will hold up...for a while, all depends on how you treat the tranny. hard launches and hitting the race track every weekend wont make it last very long, but just a top swap wont break it in a day
