Hello All!!
My wife and I have owned the car since new...the car is a love/hate thing. I think the oil seals and the electrical for that year model can be called nothing but crap.
The list of what I have done to this car:
1. Replaced the ingnition harness once and had to pull it to clean the contacts another time. (Blower fan would only run on high.)
2. Replaced the intake plenum and both upper and lower gasket sets.
3. Replaced the oil pan gasket. (That was h, e, double hockey sticks.)
4. Replaced the fuel pump/sending unit. (Still didn't fix the fuel gauge. I suspect the instrument cluster to be bad.)
5. Replaced the valve cover gaskets.
I don't know how much time I have spent watching the engine run while it burned oil off the headers...while I wondered if it would catch on fire... I normally carry a fire extinguisher in the car. :^[
6. I have replaced both headlights and had glued one of the lenses back in before that (found it laying in the driveway one day :^) ).
Now the radiator is leaking and needs to be replaced and the headlights aren't working. Guess I need to revisit my old friend the ignition harness. BTW, NONE of the power windows are working.
