It's probably safe to assume this isn't the issue since the plugs and wires have been changed twice, but I'll just put this out there anyway... Last time I did my plugs and wires, I had a misfire on cylinder #3 and it was just because the wire wouldn't seat correctly on the plug. I didn't realize there was anything wrong until I was on my way to work, and the wire wiggled loose and the SES started flashing. I exchanged the wires and all was well.
Ok i just replaced the ICM with a new one.. still misfiring but not as bad now. Also i noticed that the small vaccuum hose on the LIM under the supercharger snout was pinched under a nut smh so i replaced that also. Now its showing boost. Still misfiring though!!!!! Aaaahhhhhh im ready to blow this car up lol
It's sounds simple, but I've lost count of how many people have done it. Check your plug wires to make sure they are in the correct order
Next, do the leakdown test. Also, check your fuel pressure. Don't give up yet, you're making progress !![]()
It has good fuel pressure, wires are in correct order i made sure today. Oh yea big thing i forgot to mention, today i saw that both knock sensors are unplugged so i was looking for the pigtails and the back one doesnt seem long enough and the front one is no where to be found. So now i gotta make a trip to jy for both pigtails. I know it will retard timing but will it be this bad?
Just wonderin if you ever figured out your missfire, I checked my comperssion myself 4 times and it was at 145 each time so i dont have a compession problem i have done a complete tune up, and like i said compression test passed with flying colors so everything should b ok inside. Just wondering if you were lucky enough to figure it out??
slg... from the sounds of it..I'd venture to say you have a couple chipped pistons.
ya that one of the big guesses ive heard about so im thinking new engine for this guy!!
