Oh ya we know to do supporting mods lol that's a given I wouldn't give it long on a 3.0 that's obvious I'm just stating the 3.4 pulley and on the 2step it's just for fun something to play with lol Were putting it on the scanner today or tomorrow idk what day they have setup lol if it is pulling that much timing then how would you correct that because the stock pulley was screwed previous owner somehow bent it that's why we did the 3.4 instead of staying stock pulley. Now I do have a question what is the stock kr? Normally and what is it normally with a 3.4?

iirc normal can go up to 6-8* KR on some motors. The difference is on a 3.4 6-8* KR is like 16-18* KR on a stock pulley. The smaller you go on pulley, or more mods you throw at the car, the smaller the window is for KR and the motor holding together.

Ideally, on a 3.4 you want less than 2* KR peak, preferrably 0 KR across the WOT range and shifts if you plan to go with a smaller pulley. Rocking the 3.4 as it is, if its knocking at all, consider running full headers since he wants to drop pulley even more, AL104s, alki/meth/Intercooler setup of some kind... or have him buy a cam and keep the 3.4 and not worry about it.
