    hey im pitt need to purchase those aluminum coolant elbows for the 3.8 l engine. where do i find them?

    I just bought the Dorman ones from Rock Auto and they are really good quality...installed them and the new LIM gaskets hour ago

    The repair isn't a pain in the ass at all. The fact that GM was so stupid and used something like coolant elbows is what is the pain in the ass.

    while the design sucks, they are quite east to change.

    i really dont know why they went this way vs a heater hose to nipples off the intake, and timing cover.

    I got mine from ZZP and they work great. Just had to remove the alt and 3 bolts on the houseing for the elbows.

    would it be possible to cut threads and install a normal nipple in place of the elbows? I havent gotten my GTP yet (Hopefully tomorrow) but I keep finding these elbows as a problem when i search these cars...

    Zzp nutrider? Yea ask around there customer service is terrible. Rockauto would be a cheaper place. Also Zzp advertises (or at least did) the aluminum coolant elbows as their own which is b/a Dorman made em. Go compare the prices between both sites and tell me who's cheaper.

    I got mine for 10 bucks and they went outside with me and showed step by step for everything
    97 grand prix - sold
