    that's A LOT of work...

FYI, tap shift shifts slower than just leaving it in drive and letting the car do it's work. useless option to me made for fanboi's.

    I think trannymanDave tried it.

Couldn't get the wiring to work in a non-TapShift car.

Plus, that's more crap to go wrong IMO.

Looks like I may have just bought myself a project then.

2004 Grand Prix gtp parts or whole LOOK! !

Gonna swap the entire harness, modules, engine, trans, ect into the GT Body... It'll give me the HUD I want, 5 button DIC, and tons of other spares. Picking it up tonight for $1500.

Kinda figured TapShift was worthless, but what about the CompG Trans, is that an improvment over the 2.96 HD / 3.29 Non-HD units, will it work without tossing the tapshift stuff in?

    Thanks

Just so you know, if you swap DIC's the mileage is going to be that of the car you pulled it out of.

Seats can be a couple hundred, but I dont really know.

Tell me about it, I miss thrashing on a car like this:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qw6...4&feature=plcp

Without worrying about a $5,000 pile of parts liberating themselves from my trans.

Cool, I'll be picking up the car tonight, moving it to my shop on Sunday probably. Damn this project! I forgot how fun it is to work on an inexpensive car! My current DD is an 07 Duramax, and it's just too pricy to play with because it's about a $5000 bill to break anything major... heh

Not too bad, visible wear, but no rips. I'm in Texas this week, but I'll try to snap some pics next time I'm at the Shop.
