For those that know me, you'll have seen all this before.

For those that don't know me, here we go!

I'm Dane, I have a 2000 Firebird that I've owned since I bought it in '02 with 60K miles. Rebuilt it at 135K, now at 151K and still doing really well. Almost all the work I did was in my own garage except for the transmission rebuild and of course the proper machining work that was needed. All assembly for the engine and suspension was done at home.

It has been a learning experience on many fronts and I never really set out to make it something geared towards taking down V8's and hopped up turbo hondas etc. etc. I built it to learn the ropes on something that is pretty forgiving and almost bullet proof. It is a great and enjoyable daily driver that cranks on the first start even in cold weather, and has good street manners considering the big stall.

I dyno'd 196hp @ 5600 / 196tq@ 4600 with the 3800 stall unlocked. <That's important before peopl start chiming in about low #'s since it dynod 169/184 w/ just the lid and full exhaust before the rebuild.

    Factory Options:
GU6 & G80, AKA 3.42's and a posi. Something not commonly found in V6's outside the W68/Y87 packaged cars.

    Exterior Modifications:
    Speedline MIstral 6's 17" x 9.5"
    Kumho Ecsta 275 x 40 x 17
    8000K HID low beams.
    8000K HID fog lights.
    60LED Switchback DRL/Turn Signals.
Debadged, trim delete and rear filler panel is now devoid of the firebird name and logo.

    Interior Modifications:
    Corbeau CR1
    race seats
PLX Wideband gauge in central AC vent
    Weight Reduction

    Performance:
    Whisper Lid
    Intense S1X NA Cam: 212º/216º .556"/.546" 113º LSA (With 1.7 ratio rockers)

No 1/4 times When I finished the build our local tracks died. I'm not up for driving over 100 miles to the closest one with the risk of breaking

I'd estimate somewhere around high 13's at our altitude, but that's all ricer math benchracing

Watched the build thread over on RKC and enjoyed reading it. Did a nice tasteful job with mods and did em right. Glad you made it over.

I imagine you are getting that Holden intake from Kuntzie.
Hope you are patient and like excuses.

Actually I'm in talks with an Aussie that has a salvage yard. I'm getting one for a bit less. Just wish the USD was a good bit stronger...
