he beat me too it.

LOL I beat you.
ok well i went out and bought everything today 180 degree thermosts with gasket front pads and rotors rear pads and rotors fuel filter plugs and wires went with a bosch set (not msd) jus platinum plus and im going in monday for the tranny flush with the dexron VI the coolant flush and to get the supercharger oiled...now that thats all said and done what would be my next step for some power![]()
how many miles did you say the car had???
Because Id recommend against the trans flush.
and dont pay to have someone change your supercharger oil, be a man and get a spray bottle and use the sprayer to suck out the old oil and change it yourself. Get 2 bottles of supercharger oil from the dealer and do it yourself in like 15 min. Save ya some major coin.
listen ive been a mechanic for a while now and done alot on a car but never anything to a supercharger or turbo charger i dont even know where the oil goes in there im a newb to this boost stuff. not about bein a man just want it done right lol and its got 120000 on it
ok sorry, im not trying to bash ya.
but if you know the car has been taken care of and regular maintance has been done to the transmission, then a flush should be ok. But if the fluid has not been changed in a super long time and flush can destory it, it may dis-lodge debris in the line and cause the trans to fail.
Here is a good vid to help ya understand how to change the supercharger oil, if you wanna do it yourself, its easy, but kinda smelly. Im just trying to save ya some money.
YouTube - HOW TO CHANGE THE SUPERCHARGER OIL ON A GM 3800 SERIES II V6
wow that is a no brainer didnt realize it was that simple, apreciate it! and yah it seems to me that it was very well mechanicaly maintained by the previous owner
im actually gonna restate my last coment after going over the paperwork provided by the previous owner i cant see any attention ever being drawn toward doing anty work to the tranny...and some paperwork dates back to 07, now if i were to have a shop like a chevy or gm place profesionaly do a transmission flush and the tranny died would it be under there interest to replace my transmission?
i wouldnt think so. odds are they'll tell you not to do it
do u guys prefer the old school way of dropping the tranny pan changen the filter and gasket or actually jus hooking it up to a tranny flush machine...and i think i have a rear valve cover gasket leak how hard is that to fix
pull alternator.. alternator bracket... pop front motor mounts off,,, rock engine forward.. voila.. ive had a few cars flushed with nothing bad happening.. theres alot of trans flush myths floating around out there.. the main thing ppl **** up when doin a flush is not giving the car enough time for the fluid to get through the trans and sending the car out with a few quarts low on fluid. the whole theory on it stirring up contaminants is retarded in my eyes.. the filter is there for a reason. if i were u i would just do a pan drop with filter change and add some lucas stop slip to top it off. pan drop will take out about 8 quarts of fluid. just did one on my 05. the lucas is a good PM for the tranny. its not necessarily used for only slipping issues.
awesome thats my project for this week along with the plugs and supercharger oil i did the 180 degree thermostat today and pads and rotors all the way around along with a fuel filter so shes comen along pretty nice last thing i need is a new hoodand i cant find one for a price i wana pay anywhere...
