    TM95,

I've read the threads and saw the deleted ones. I'm just curious on what exactly happened.

Based on what I read here and on the other forum's thread's, you wanted to put your link in your sig and they removed it. From there, PMs were sent to several individuals to "get the word out". So many, it wasn't clear who the mole was. In a closed thread, the admin stated someone reported spam.

Did you send several PMs out to the members? Were they just random PMs? What were in those PMs? If you send several PMs to individuals, regardless if they contained your website or not, don't don't you feel this is spam?

    Disclaimer:
I'm not affiliated with any clubgp mod or admin and I am not them. Quite frankly, I'm not affiliated with anyone there. No, I'm not the mole and I never received a PM from you.

I recall you providing good technical "get to the point" responses instead of others who blame bush, black people, liberals for their differential exploding.
I'm just curious on the details on what happened and I know its NoneOfMyBusiness.

It wasn't his site link in his signature, it was the link to this forum. As far as I know, as he referred me, the PMs were also to members he dealt with letting them know there was a new forum out there if they would like to take a look and see what it has to offer. Apparently, it's a ban unless you link to only sponsors, chapters of ClubGP, etc. I personally don't see the difference as I and others have our cardomains linked in sigs and those can be GP clubs with forums as well. It appears to me on the other forum they are going for domination and selective enforcement instead of innovation, leadership, and change.

Its just funny to see what they delete. I made a couple posts about simply warning Dave and Jason before they banned them. They were deleted. They don't want the sheep to know what is going on. Its sad really.

Basically, if Mike has determined that he doesn't want certain websites displayed on his forum, he will remove the link and the member. AAAAAND not tell anybody about it. Jeez....he'll probably determine someday that KCPMC is a threat and have that as a dirty name as well.

It reminds me of a time in history when we tried to keep people from learning how to read because if they did they would be empowered to make choices.

Well I say again, let them kick off everyone they want to, the more the merrier cause we are right here waiting for them to give them a new home, to welcome them and to be part of a community that is true to itself and its purpose.

Come on Mike, boot some more people off! Sucks you cant ban me here huh? I was hoping our own community would get involved and help us grow and boy have they ever. They make us all proud, but I never figured you would be such a big help by making it clear how unwelcome some members of your own community were. Keep it up Mike, we're lovin' it here.

As long as you have a happy, mature and respectful community there should be no reason for a thread to be locked or posts deleted.

the last open thread is going to be locked soon or someone is going to get a warning. Ok I'm done. It was fun messing with ban stick holder, but it's been too much fun and I'm tired.

Thanks for the clarification. From what I see, its on both ends.

Sending several PMs out to individuals regarding a subject that cannot be placed in as a thread is spam. Kinda a tough call if each PM sent was to someone you know more personally. If I receive a PM from someone I don't know saying "Hey, there is a new forum. Check it out." I'd be upset, wouldn't trust the link and i'd report it so I don't get anymore. If it is from someone I know or communicated with on occasion (at the least) , I'd say "cool, I'll check it."

As far as the administrator, I disagree with his policy on not posting other forums (if there is one). I'd much rather have someone post it in a thread rather than recieve a PM on it. Safety reasons, not personal preference. Overall, I disagree with his focus on his forum. Instead of cleaning up content, his focus is on the money. Period. Anything showing potential of no longer receiving sponsor money must be stopped. Who cares how they act on the site. As long as they are there.

Also, the mods and admin communication needs to be up'ed. If someone inquiries as to an incident, its "none of yer business." That's 100% true but knowing what happened prevents rumors and the incident from repeating. Debates with him on why aren't necessary. Just it would be good to know. Lastly, I don't believe deleting or closing threads discussing why a person is banned is in the rules. Correct me if I'm wrong on that part.

hmm went to check my thread over on clubgp about Dave being banned and it is not there. I wonder what was said to make Mike delete the whole thing? At the most I thought it would get locked.

Mike needs to make a new section called "People recently banned" so people know what is going on. I am sure there will be people asking why isn't Dave responding to my pm's.

I sent a pm to everyone in the Turbo section that posts in there regularly, and that was probably the first time I had ever spoken to them.

New recruit here, from ClubGP... Seems like the Exodus has started

So I assume Jason is on these boards too?

Sucks what happened over at ClubGP. Personally, I think the whole PM thing is a little fishy... What somebody sends on a PM should be the sender/recipient's own business/concern...

Especially since on the FAQ, it says that the PM system is JUST LIKE email... Funny, because the federal court just ruled(Click here for link) that the expectation of privacy for emails is the same as for postal email and telephone calls, regardless of the scanning software that scans for spams/viruses etc, which they said is like the post office scanning packages for explosives... That means, when you drop off your mail at a drop box inside a business, you don't expect that business to read your mail, likewise read your email/PM/phone-calls, etc.

Anyways.... Back to our regularly scheduled programming.

In responce to AlphaBetaBase, Yep I sent out a lot of PMs to members to tell them about this site. As I mentioned above I was asked to join this site, my wife signed me up and I thought this would be a breathe of fresh air for me and others as I am tired of having to watch what I say to people on the open forums in fear of advertising. I cant just join in over there and say... Hey I sell those too or I make that for less and have it in stock when someone is in need of something. Instead I had to do what I could behind the seens and keep my mouth shut. Then when a while back some threads of mine and someone elses about an input shaft breaking and threads being deleted I was at wits end over there and pretty much quit posting unless noone else was able to help or dig up an old thread with the info they were looking for. Me and my wife sent out a few PMs to people that I often talked to or who had questions about trans stuff at one point in time or another basically telling them that "there was a new GP site that just started up and if they were sick of the BS going on around the club to come check it out and that I would be spending my time over there to help out." Im sure if my PMs ever come out of the woodwork that this is almost to the word what they said, cant remember exactly nor can I check what I sent. Obviously a few people didnt want to follow or just wanted me banned, who knows I dont honestly care as I departed over a month ago with that site and was going to make a BIG exit but I didnt get the chance to, someone else did it for me. Did I spam people? I dont feel it was spam because I was informing others whom I thought cared about being on a forum to gather usefull info and not useless garbage and fire startings all the time because someone else knows everything and cant be proven right or wrong, his way or no way sort of thing. I was on the club to help members out with cars, god look at my last 500 posts, I bet over 95% of them were ALL helping others with transmission problems but I had to be careful of what I said as to not look like I was steering people for business, I wasnt at all. Ask Scotty! If you want to build your own transmission I will sell you parts and tell you to the T how to build it, Im not out to tell everyone to come to me to make money, that is not my choice to make all I can do is offer my knowledge and lend a helping hand. The two members that told MikeN that I was sending spam obviously didnt have interest in this site and didnt see the problems with the club nor want to try a new forum out. What they did was their choice plain and simple, I cant blame them for ratting me out and I expected it at some point over the past weeks. I dont think Mike would warn someone to knock it off when they are trying to get people to drop them for another club and I dont blame him for banning me, its completely understandable and again I already planned to not use the forum anymore. Instead of keeping everything quiet though threads got started which sends me emails, phone calls, and adds more people to this forum, which is also something I planned to happen after seeing what happened to Farnsworth. So a big THANK YOU to the tattle-tails!! You're helping my business and this site grow!

The only reason it is spam is because it is threatening clubgp. Mike is afraid he will lose people to this forum (which is happening). People can post about 3800pro all day over there and nothing is done because Mike knows that the majority of the members on clubgp prefer clubgp over 3800pro. Now Mike fears his forum will become a 3800pro, I am not intending to bash 3800pro, just used them as an example.

I will verify this exactly as Dave has stated. He has done nothing but bend over backwards to help me out in my en devour to rebuild my tranny. I wanted to tackle it for the experience and Dave didnt blink at all. He offered to help and has done just that from day one. There is no way in hades I would go near the tranny I have if Dave wasnt helping.

I just could go on about how much help Dave has been and how much I appreciate it.

Wow. I registered on this site on one of the first days and hadn't really been back due to lack of time and the holidays. I hopped onto clubgp when I just got home from work today and saw that Dave was was banned from clubgp.

Sorry clubgp, I found a new home.
