Sending several PMs out to individuals regarding a subject that cannot be placed in as a thread is spam. Kinda a tough call if each PM sent was to someone you know more personally. If I receive a PM from someone I don't know saying "Hey, there is a new forum. Check it out." I'd be upset, wouldn't trust the link and i'd report it so I don't get anymore. If it is from someone I know or communicated with on occasion (at the least) , I'd say "cool, I'll check it."
As far as the administrator, I disagree with his policy on not posting other forums (if there is one). I'd much rather have someone post it in a thread rather than recieve a PM on it. Safety reasons, not personal preference. Overall, I disagree with his focus on his forum. Instead of cleaning up content, his focus is on the money. Period. Anything showing potential of no longer receiving sponsor money must be stopped. Who cares how they act on the site. As long as they are there.
Also, the mods and admin communication needs to be up'ed. If someone inquiries as to an incident, its "none of yer business." That's 100% true but knowing what happened prevents rumors and the incident from repeating. Debates with him on why aren't necessary. Just it would be good to know. Lastly, I don't believe deleting or closing threads discussing why a person is banned is in the rules. Correct me if I'm wrong on that part.
