    Welcome.

I'm new, too. 22-25mpg in the city? Woah. I think I average 19.1?

Welcome. I would check the catalytic converter. I am averaging about 400kms on 47 liters. My fuel gauge doesn't work so I'm just filling it at about 400. It is about -30 degrees celsius here with the windchill (about -15c without).

Mmhmm that's about what I get. OP is in Illinois (hey, let's grab coffee sometime!) and we use real units of measurement here, though. *tease*

He could just have a lead foot, though. I've found I like to "check if my boost gauge works" more often than I should.

@OP: Do you put premium or regular in it?

I forgot to add that I don't have a light foot when it comes to taking off. I know some imperial measurements, but I was taught metric that is why I use it. I know a gallon is about 3.8 liters, a quarter mile is approx 400 meters, etc.

In a sense. What happens if after a calculation you are a decimal off? You probably wouldn't even notice. Unless you were using the american way!!!

a decimal off? meaning 10 instead of 100? if you don't notice that you shouldn't be doing calculations.

    Thought this was relevant...

Just did 150mi on the freeway last night with 92 octane in my GTP. Did a little over 30mpg.

3 E9 and 3 E8 can go unnoticed. I love the fact that everything is in such simple units, and easy to go back and forth, but i hate the fact that sometimes i slip up and lose track of a decimal.
