I know this topic had probably been beat to death in the past, but I still can not find a definite answer to distinctively say whether a car is a GT1 or GT2. I had a GT2, had leather, moonroof, HUD, Monsoon, stainless exhaust tips with 2 round tips per muffler, silver "honeycomb" grill. I now have an '04 GT1, cloth, moonroof, dual exhaust (cast aluminum) oval tips, 3-button DIC. Guy on Craigs is advertising a GT2 but it's cloth, no moonroof, no Monsoon, has steering wheel controls & 5-button DIC. There is no option code for GT1 or GT2, correct? Thanks in advance.

You'll need a VIN, $5 and an email account to tell definitively. Compnine - http://www.compnine.com/vid.php

Screenshot - (your VIN will appear above the vehicle model)

I really wouldn't worry about it, tbh.

Edit: I only checked for '03 down for other members when I gave the vin checks away. So, I don't know for sure that 04+ will denote GT1/GT2.

I will have to confirm the WS6 option code. I know what it is on Trans Am, just didn't know it was a cope on GPs as well. Thanks!

No problem. Used that and found out my car, with RPO 26U, is 1:555 CompG's in that color combo for 2005.

Don't take it as gospel, but compnine's pretty reliable.

Nice! I've never seen one that color.

Compnine says mine is a GT2, confirmed with the local dealership.

Mine has the most basic of base model options, so I guess it's just a matter of who ordered it. Lol
