Key is stuck? Is it all the way in park? Try pushing harder on the shifter

will it fire back up if you try to start it? if so its not a dead battery.

under the column is a round plug, pop it off and then push a pen or stick in the hole and you can turn the key back.

most of the time this is caused by a busted wire to the shiftier in the console.

It does start again and okay I will try that now. It also looks like I'm low on oil. Would that have any affect?

I left the car idle for a few minutes and when I got the key to come out this time! I'll remember to check this in case it happens again. Thank you scottydoggs and crazyguy03

heres the you tube how to repair it, this guy went and crimped new pins on, but you can patch it, ot lop it off and replace it with a jy plug.

Low on oil?! How do you know? Did the oil light come on? If it did.... ohh nozzz.
Get some oil in there quick. Don't drive it! Walk to the nearest gas station.

Would it be the same case with my 08? Since the ignition isn't behind the wheel? Also yes the light came on. Luckily the gas station is right behind me!

low oil wont do this, but find out why its low asap. the oil pressure senders like to blow out and you loose oil fast when they do go. leaves a puddle under the oil filer on the pass side.

I'm not seeing any puddles so I believe it's just low. Also rookie here lol it seems as though my vehicle doesn't have a hood prop? Where can I pick one up?

you dont have one. you have lifts that are shot if it wont stay open on its own.
