Used to be on this site all the time. glad to see when i came back that not much has changed .
I in the other hand went out searching for a gtp....and ended up buying a GXP...how does that happen>? Anyways. I'm so used to looking to ZZP for performance mod ideas, is there a similar site that is geared towards the LS4? Or am i best off just doing exhaust and intake and call it a day? PS already have K&N cool air intake from previous owner.

Put a motor in and repainted.....now spent $800 more.
Not bad for a $1300 car.

There are cams, intake mani's, tb's, etc for it but the trans isnt going to like it very much.

You'll have to open that wallet alot more if you wish to mod the LS4 that's for sure.

Any cam swap will require a DoD/AFM delete kit, new cam, cam gear, lifters etc etc. The DoD feature is somewhat problem prone to begin with, most tune the feature out to help prevent it from failing. And if you do exhaust work, you'll want it gone or turned off because it sounds terrible in V4 mode.

Headers are pricey for a nice set.

LS1Tech has a LS4 section that is worth viewing and reading.

I never got the idea behind DoD. I get that it shuts off 4 cylinders for fuel savings but wouldnt it work the engine harder because the rotating mass is still there.

It doesnt take a ton of effort to keep things spinning, they picked the best cylinders to shut down so that the force given on the cylinders still firing is plenty to keep things moving. Pretty lame answer but it's true.
