I doubt highly the 90 lb springs had valve float, unless they are wearing out. I ran 90's with my XP cam, and revved that thing to 6200, sometimes shifting at 6300, and I never saw any indication of valve float. there is a way to see if you have valve float by looking at your map pressure and your maf hz, but I don't remember exactly. I wouldn't worry about revving it higher anyway because the VS cam powerband peaks at something like 6000. it is more of a mid range cam with good low end.
