You can also use paint thinner on your carpet. DO NOT get it on anything leather or plastic or it will remove color sometimes. But put some paint thinner on a rag, rub the area. If it's bad, pour thinner on the spot and brush it then use a shop vac to suck most of it out. You'll have to air out your car but it works easy and you don't have to worry about soaking your carpet. I'd reapply scotch guard afterwards as well.
