You know, I did this a few years back - because we had really bad rainstorms and I thought the puddle was a few inches deep and it was a few feet - only way to dry everything out totally was to remove the carpet, and the seats, and the console.... but I've been driving it a couple years now without issue.

I also had to get the water out of the engine (put new plugs and wires on and removed my sopping wet air filter as well.)
