what harness is it? Did you you originally get the wrong one?

great write up man small world think im talkn 2 ya off cl with a strut brace you have hahaha. i did retrofit on my GTP as well and i deff like your idea with the shroud because even though when i did some cutting but deff not nice. but my MH1 6.0s with pontiac engraved lenses are on the way. i will deff be sure to make a write up/how-to as well.
haha nice man wish i could get it from em but he's hr or longer away from me. but yeah i did my retrofit today upgraded to the mini 6.0s man what a diffrence. i'll be sure to post steps/pics what i did as well
. good to know im not the only one retrofitting in michigan lol.
well pontiac logo was supposed to be engraved into the lense but i guess TRS been having issues. with the mini lenses as well as some other's cracking lense making it brittle etc....so he will lmk when this issue is resolved if i later want to get em engraved. Like he said rather send out a perfect projector rather then knowing something will happen down the line.
So I'm in the process of doing this right now and can't wait to be done. I've done pretty much all I can until the projectors get here which should be tomorrow. I've cut them, opened them, smoothed them and just got done painting the inside of them. Hopefully I don't regret doing that too soon but I can always re-do it. This write up has been very helpful though, thanks!
Could someone please explain to me the problems with the high beams a little more clearly? Without them in front of me it's hard to imagine. What pins exactly need to be switched out and where will the harness go? Thanks.
Once you receive the motocontrol harness (which is a relay harness that also makes the high beams work), there will be a blue connector with 3 pins (this connects to the blue connector on the car). Just swap the blue and white pins in this connector and you should be good to go.
take a very tiny screwdriver and you will have to press the little clips holding the pins in.
So I've got another question. I'm installing all the wires right now and is there suppose to be two blue connectors? There's only 1 one the motocontrol harness so is the other one not needed?
alright thanks I figured that's what it was since there wasn't another but wanted to double check. Another question though. The HIDs are hooked up with the relay and everything and the highs work perfectly. But there's a real high pitched hum coming from the lights kinda like when an old tv or computer gets turned on. Normal or is something wrong?
Yea that's normal. My Morimoto ballasts make a humming noise. The factory HID's on my Cadillac also made the same noise
Great thanks I just wanted to make sure they were hooked up right since that was my first time wiring HIDs. And I don't remember the ballast company but it's not Morimotos. I think I'll actually be selling this set I did. Even though they came out near perfect I know I can do better so I've ordered another set and headlights.
Hey LS1 is there any chance we could get pictures or a simple diagram of the wiring? This is the way I understand it:
EDIT:
I guess the format of that diagram above got messed up so I removed and added this:
Left & Right projector >>>> Motocontrol Harness >>>> Passenger side blue plug
Also the motocontrol harness needs to have its white and blue wire switched and it is also connected to the fuse box. Am I forgetting anything?
