Headunit is very easy to take out, so I found that easier than running the AUX cable through the car. If you use a 3.5mm audio jack, you can just splice the jack inline and have both AUX and working XM radio btw. Just unplug the cable from the jack and XM radio will resume.
Agreed. Even in the OP, you said we'll be using Pin 10 (tan) as the audio ground. But two pictures later you say to connect the negatives to black/white (electrical ground). THIS WILL WORK. However it gave me some electrical noise through the speakers only when no audio was playing. Playing even a silent track made the noise go away, oddly enough, so it's really not that big of a deal. I was pressed for time and didn't have the opportunity to try out the tan wire, but my guess is that it'll eliminate the electrical noise altogether.
