So what do I have to do to the air box?
Remove it?
Burn it
Give it to a homeless person.
Hurrrrrrr
Well I haven't even looked at it yet. how do I take it off?
If you cant figure that out by yourself then...... i mean.........
well I havent looked at it yet so im not retarded lol. obviously it must be really easy
yes yes too easy. Just take a look at it when you get a chance and if you have any problems, come back here.
But don't because we'll probably make fun of you.
;)
Its supermegagrandprixfriendsclub easy.
How long is the filter in the original "How To with Pictures"??
And sorry if this is already answered, i didnt look through all 12 pages of this thread. Only the first 5...
I think 9in.
But anything 5-9in will work.
That's what she said
Cone on filter, yay...blower gets louder.
Been a long time since I was on here, but have been scouting the site lately as I recently picked up a '99 GTP with 180,000km. Thanks for the how-to nawarkk, I used a K&N RU-1785 3.5x5x8.5" straight filter for mine, and man does the supercharger scream, absolutely love it.
I'm thinking I'm going to need to pick up a new piece of PVC though, I bought one like yours, 3" with the small OD on the one side, however it seems the wall thickness on mine is a little thinner - the heat from the engine and the forces from the clamp seem to have turned it into an egg shape and the clamp had loosened off a little bit. I wonder has anyone else suffered from this problem? My engine temperature floats around the 85-90*C mark (185-194*F), which seems normal to me - granted I'm also using the boost a lot (really enjoying the car, lol) so I'm sure the supercharger is packing a heck of a lot more heat under the hood as well.
Ok so can someone explain to me exactly what i should do with my pcm? Or link me somewhere that will? I have a 97 GTP.
zip tie it down.
Down to what?
Down to the car...
I used zip ties and some velcro for extra safety. Some people don't even use zip ties.
I would have to look at mine but I'm pretty sure there were holes somewhere close that I ran the zip ties thru and around the pcm. I've had no issues.
