    ive also heard of people using a flexible epoxy/silicone spray on cv boots to help them be more durable i believe VHT makes it...

    Duct tape? I never thought of that! LOL! That might be the right answer. At least till I could afford a new axle.

    How do you get the CV axle out of the tranny? I figured it just popped out, but a buddy and I pryed on it pretty good (this is when I damaged the boot) when we had the side cover off the transmission changing the solenoids because we thought it might give us more clearance. (4t65e m15 by the way)

    A chisel and a hammer. You need to shock it not pull it. It will pop right out.

    i used a big crow bar for my axles when i swapped my tranny.

    Oh, ok. I figured two guys prying on it oughta pop it out. When it didn't, I figured it must just be made different than what the Haynes manual showed. I was afraid we were going to break something else!
