    Hey Guys,

Since I have had the car a 1997 Grand Prix GT 3.8L I have had issues with the trunk never opening from either the FOB or the glove compartment button. It works fine with the key. The fuse for the BU LAMP is good and those seem to work fine. I also cannot have the doors auto lock when moving to D and unlock when moving to park. I checked the programming and it is set to do so. I am thinking may be related since Trunk requires to be in PARK and the other out of so maybe it cannot detect this correctly.

Anyone have any ideas on what could be the issue causing one or both of those issues?

    Jason

unplug the trunk lock actuator, then have some one hit the fob button or glove box button while you test the wires for power. it the test light flashes the actuator is bad.

I'm having the same issue on my 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix SE. In addition, the reverse lights did not work. Did you resolve the issue? I'm thinking it's the neutral safety switch, but I don't want to mess with that if I don't have to.
