the pontiac shop manual is very brief, remove firewall screws, remove screws attaching to dash, and remove case. Is it really that simple?
how many and where are all the screws under the dash. I have seen post that were mid operation, people droping steering column, and other serious dash disassembly, but never saw post of of someone that actually got it out.
    thanks

aint that on top of the heater core in the middle of the dash? my guess is its a few steps past the heater core swap.

heater core swap is done leaving the case in the dash, the bottom of case is removed and heater core dropped. Evap requires complete case removal and top of case is removed.

actually now that I cracked open the manual again, it does say cross vehicle beam must be removed. and that is much more involved.
and there is a little picture of evap and 3 bolts under dash, So I think I got my answer, I need to slow down and read more carefully.

sounds like your taking the dash off too. others who have done it said its pretty easy to do. the whole dash removal part.
